Cornwall Community Foundation supports Launcells Parish Hall

Launcells Parish Hall received £3,000 from the business club of the Cornwall Community Foundation for the external upkeep of the village hall. Cornwall 100 Club member Pamela Idelson from Trebarfoote Manor visited the project.
The hall is the hub of the community and used regularly by different groups for skittles, yoga, bowls, badminton, and the local history group, as well as the annual horticultural show. The hall is now a popular choice as a venue for all sorts of celebrations, charity events and fairs and hosts various form of entertainment including music, comedy and bingo evenings. Recent events held in the hall, with over 100 people attending illustrated the need for the hall to be preserved and maintained for future generations.
The hall is managed and maintained by a small committee of volunteers, over the years the committee and local resident have managed to modernise the facilities enabling all local groups access.
Maddy Meaden, from the Launcells Parish Hall Committee, said ‘We are very proud of our hall, especially since we have had it painted, and had a number of alterations and small building jobs done within the hall. The creation of two extra toilets offer much needed relief especially on the popular music and comedy evenings we hold every few months. The re-design of the stage area and storage spaces either side has created extra space and made access to the hall tables and chairs so much easier. Without grants such as support from the Cornwall Community Foundation I feel we would lose the incentive to fundraise and volunteer our time in order to see the continued existence and use of our village hall.’
Launcells Parish Hall Management Committee & Launcells Parish Council are grateful to Cornwall Community Foundation for grant funding from Cornwall 100 Club Fund.
Without this help, upgrading of the Parish Hall would not have been possible.

HIRE CHARGES -
- Parishioners - £15.00
- Non-Parishioners - £25.00
- Organisations - £7.00
- Kitchen - £7.00
The Hall has an electricity meter - this accepts £1.00 coins.
£10.00 deposit is required for the Hall Key, refundable on prompt return.
NB: - £5.00 per day penalty charge is incurred for late return.
Regular bookings at the hall include:
Mondays - (evening) Badminton
Tuesdays - (morning) Yoga, (evening) Men's Skittles
Wednesdays - (evening) Short Mat Bowling
1st Friday of each month - (evening) Parish Council Meeting.
