Bude Stratton Town Council Bid to Take over Launcells Parish
A review of the Parish and Town Councils in Cornwall is currently underway.
It is called the Cornwall Community Governance Review, with the website address of:-
As part of this review Bude-Stratton Town Council has made a bid to create one large Parish by combining Bude-Stratton with all of Launcells and Marhamchurch Parishes along with the Ivyleaf part of Kilkhampton and the Widemouth Bay area of Poundstock.
Astonishingly, they have done this without any communication with the affected parishes. This does not bode well for the parish.
As part of the consultation process, a Public Engagement Meeting has been arranged at the Parkhouse Centre (Ivor Potter Hall) on Wednesday 11th September, 6.30 for 7pm start.
If you are at all concerned about the future of the parish, I would ask that you try to attend. The more voices we have present, the more likely we are to get the result the parish wants.
Chair, Launcells Parish Council
