Easter Bingo

Bingo prizes lined up on a tableOn Saturday 23rd March, Launcells Parish Hall was yet again full with nearly 70 eager bingo players. Once again the Parish Hall Committee excelled themselves with an amazing selection of bingo and raffle prizes.

As well as the usual games of lines (top, middle, bottom and the dreaded corners!) and full houses, there was also an Irish game where everybody stands up and once a number on your sheet is called you sit down, with the winner being the last person standing, who was Trevor Tape who won an Easter Hamper. There was also a “Flyer” where the winners were those with one line, then two lines and then the final winner, with a full house who won £40 worth of Morrisons vouchers. The winner was a visiting family member of a Launcells resident and not surprisingly, they are hoping to come to our next bingo evening!

At half time the raffle was drawn and everyone enjoyed the refreshments served by the Committee and a chat with their neighbours and friends and those from further afield.

Many thanks to Colin Cholwill who was our caller for the evening and to those on the Parish Hall Committee who organised the event and those who helped clear up at the end of the evening.

The proceeds from this event will go to maintaining and running the Parish Hall.
